Herbal Roundtable

This is a community of natural health practitioners, makers, herbalists, nutritionists, and curious learners who gather once a month here in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We come together to learn, to play, to experiment, and to grow — not through lectures or hierarchy, but through shared experience and community wisdom

At the Roundtable, everyone is both a student and a teacher. We learn from plants, from each other, and from the patterns that show up in our bodies, our practices, and our lives. Every year has a new theme, this year we are launching the Pattern Circle.

What the Herbal Roundtable Is

The Herbal Roundtable is our ongoing space for continuing education — but not the kind that happens in a classroom.
Here, we learn through:

  • Hands-on play
  • Sensory exploration
  • Maker-style experiments
  • Story-sharing and case reflections
  • Community dialogue
  • Seasonal and ecological observation

We meet once a month on the third Saturday, and each gathering is designed to be nourishing (includes a pot luck), collaborative, and curiosity-driven. There’s no pressure to perform. No one is expected to be an expert. We show up as practitioners who are still learning — because we always are.

Why We Gather

We gather because natural health is a living practice.
It evolves with the seasons, with our clients, with our communities, and with our own bodies. The Roundtable gives us a place to stay connected — to the plants, to the work, and to each other. It’s a place to refill the well, to spark new ideas, and to remember why we chose this path

Introducing the Year‑Long Pattern Circle

This year, we’re doing something new.
We’re forming a year‑long Pattern Circle — a deeper, more intentional arc of learning that will weave through our monthly gatherings.

A Pattern Circle is a small community committed to exploring the patterns that shape natural health:

  • patterns in plants
  • patterns in the body
  • patterns in food and ecology
  • patterns in energy, emotion, and behavior
  • patterns in our own practice and vocation

Instead of learning in isolated topics, we’ll be learning through pattern literacy — noticing how things repeat, echo, and evolve across systems

The Pattern Circle will give us a shared thread across the year. Each month, we’ll explore a new pattern through sensory labs, maker experiments, ecological observation, and group dialogue. You’ll build your own Pattern Atlas — a living notebook of insights, maps, and discoveries that grows with you.

What to Expect This Year

As part of the Pattern Circle, you can expect:

  • A monthly in-person gathering with a potluck
  • A sensory or maker lab each session
  • A guided pattern-mapping exercise
  • A shared ritual for opening and closing the circle
  • A Pattern Atlas page to complete each month
  • Community support, reflection, and shared wisdom
  • A year-long arc that builds depth, confidence, and clarity in your natural health practice
It’s a place to explore, to notice, to connect, and to grow. Together, we’ll spend the year learning through our senses, through the seasons, and through the patterns that shape the natural world and our work within it
The monthly fee is $20 (payable at each session) plus membership in the Herbal Database.
